Organic Spirulina Flakes

Our spirulina flakes are gently air-dried at temperatures below 42°C to preserve their raw food quality and valuable nutrients. Thanks to their vibrant green color and savory, mildly spicy flavor, they are ideal as a topping for salads, raw vegetable dishes, soups, or yogurt. These crispy seaweed flakes are also very popular with children!

The blue-green microalga Spirulina contains up to 70% high-quality plant protein and is rich in the antioxidant phycocyanin (up to 20%) . It also provides readily available minerals such as iron and magnesium, as well as important vitamins.

How do you use spirulina flakes?

Spirulina flakes are incredibly versatile: they make a great topping for salads, soups, vegetables, muesli, or yogurt. They also add a delicate umami flavor and valuable nutrients to pesto, guacamole, or smoothies. Creative topping combinations, such as with sesame seeds, are especially popular.

How long do spirulina flakes last?

Unopened spirulina flakes have a shelf life of up to 24 months. Once opened, they should be used within 12 months and stored in a dry place, protected from light.

What are organic spirulina flakes?

Spirulina flakes consist of 100% Spirulina microalgae and are gently dried below 42°C. They are rich in protein, iron, antioxidants, and minerals.

How much spirulina can I consume per day?


The recommended daily amount is approximately 3–10 g ( about 1–2 teaspoons ). Spirulina can be taken year-round or as a course of treatment for 1–3 months . Higher amounts are possible for those who are physically active or have special nutritional needs.

Where do the spirulina flakes come from?

Our spirulina comes from sustainable, climate-neutral cultivation in Germany or from certified organic partner farms in the EU.
It is harvested by hand, cultivated in spring and thermal water, and gently dried below 42 °C.

Are the spirulina flakes vegan and certified organic?

Yes, they are 100% vegan, free of additives , and organically grown. Our spirulina is batch-tested . It contains neither gluten nor lactose.
