Ingredients

  • 300 g chickpeas (cooked and drained)
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 1 lemon (squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons of spirulina powder or 100 g of fresh spirulina
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Place the drained chickpeas in the bowl of the blender and puree with some of the cooking juice.
  2. Add tahini, lemon juice, salt, garlic, cumin, and spirulina and mix again. Gradually incorporate the olive oil until a smooth, creamy texture is achieved.
  3. Enjoy with fresh bread, crackers, or as a side dish to raw vegetables.

Tip

Hummus can be prepared with spirulina powder, but it tastes even more intense with fresh spirulina.
