Spirulina Hummus
Spirulina hummus
🕒 Preparation time: approx. 10 minutes
Ingredients (for 4 servings)
- 250g cooked chickpeas (canned or home-cooked)
- 1 bunch of fresh basil (approx. 25 g leaves)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp spirulina powder
- 2 tbsp roasted pine nuts (plus a little more for garnish)
- 2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-3 tablespoons of cold water (as needed, for creaminess)
- Salt and pepper to taste
preparation
- Drain the chickpeas and rinse them briefly.
- Place in a blender or food processor along with basil, lemon juice, spirulina, pine nuts, tahini, garlic and olive oil .
- Blend everything until creamy, gradually adding cold water until the desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and pepper .
- Arrange in a bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil and garnish with pine nuts or basil leaves.
Tip:
- Tastes delicious as a spread on bread, a dip for vegetable sticks, or as an extra in bowls and wraps.
